Life Happens

Life is not always the way it is suppossed to be.  It's the way it is.  The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.  As I look back on my life today I can say that is certainly true. I can't say that I've always coped with it well.  It's interesting how smart we think we are when it comes to living life.  I can't explain everything that has happened in my life to date.  I do know that what we tend to do is blame someone and usually the last person we look at is ourselves.  Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that everything that happens in life is your fault, but I will go so far as to say how you respond to the victories and the disappointments in life is 100% our responsibility.  Man can spend His life time looking for the explanation for the things that happen in Life.  He can blame God, and others.  He can choose to live in the seat of judgement that does not belong to Him; just ask some of Job's friends.  God ultimately holds all wisdom and He reveals what He chooses to reveal.  We would all do ourselves a great service by leaving the judgement up to God. If there is any lesson in life I beleive it is is this - Worship God, Praise Him in the storm.  If there is anything that we can take from the book of Job it is that when the unexplainable happens we have one responsibility, and that is to worship God for who he is and know that in the end (I beleive that is this side of Heaven) he will restore.  The bible is very clear that God is not the enemy; He is on our side.  Jesus said, "If you seen me you have seen the Father."  not "If you have seen Job (the life of a man) you have seen the Father".  Jesus was saying to us don't look at life's experiences to discover the nature of God, look at my life. He went about doing good.  Don't build your theology about God around Job, build it around Jesus.  Hold God in reverence at the center of your life. Walk humbly before Him and carefully srutinize and examine and test your own conduct to the standard of His Word.  Let the judgements go today and stop speaking evil against God and others.  Let me add one more thing... I believe that we should do everything to stand strong and fight the good fight of faith when the winds of turmoil are blowing around us. I believe that God has given man an incrediable amount of authority in this life and I for one will continue to stand and having done everything to stand I will still be standing in the end.  Because no matter what happens God is good and He will restore. The reality is Life happens, but when we hold onto our faith in God things change and we begin to happen to LIFE!!!

Loved this. It really hit home with me. Losing a child was the worst thing I have ever had to endure. I wouldn't have made it without God's grace and love.
