Let's have a meeting...

Friday, 20 February 2009 15:21 by ronnie

Don't you hate it when someone says that to you?  Your mind goes crazy wondering what the meeting is going to be about.  I love the story of Nehemiah.  This guy was driven with a purpose to rebuild the walls of the temple.  I find myself in a season of rebuilding right now.  I have to admit at times its a little scary.  I have found that just like Nehemiah, when you are building something there are always those around you that are skeptical or jealous or something.  It's the people that want to have a meeting to discourage you from rebuilding or moving forward.  However it's not always people that call us to a meeting.  Many times its our own negative thoughts that influence or discourage us.  There are always voices that endeavor to pull us away from the plan of success.  The reality is there intent is to kill, steal, and destroy the dream.  Hey just because someone calls you to a meeting you do not have to attend.  Don't allow your fears, your doubts, and your emotions to hold you in a meeting.  Nehemiah said, "I don't have time."  I have found in this season of rebuilding I don't have the time to meet with the discouraging thoughts that attempt to lure me. Just because the enemy calls a meeting does not mean you have to attend.  Become attentive to the promise of God.  Incline your ear to the wisdom of God and realize that you don't have the time to meet with the negative conversations around you.  There are many things to be troubled about, but only one thing is needed.  There are many distractions, cares and anxiety's, but I am running to the strong one.  I really only have the time to devote to one meeting when it comes to my thoughts.  I am meeting with the wisdom of the one who has the whole world in his hands.

Dear Ronnie,

Janie told me about your web page. I love it. I haven't read all of them but I know everyone of them will be so special.
I want to tell you my simple little story. When I was going through Chemo I was outside one night and the stars were so beautiful and there was one that was particularly bright and I found that a good bit of the time I could see it out my window when I would go to bed. I thanked the Lord for being faithful all the time and I called it my faithful star. I told Phillip about it and he said oh Grandma that is just Pluto and it may be but to me it is a faithful star. You see even if it cloudly and I can't see it I know it is still there. That is the way my Faithful God is -- even when I can't see it He is still faithful -- always and forever. So watch for my faithful star and it will remind you of how faithful God really is. Arden and Janie have even found my faithful star in Michigan and we all are so thankful for God's faithfulness.

We just plain love you guys,

There actually is a song by Matt Redmen. I have been playing it all week in my office. I know that He has the whole world in His hands for all of us. Love you guys and miss you.
