ronnieWhen it comes down to it living a successful life is really not that complicated. Now I know that you and I tend to really make things difficult, especially when it come to living a life for God. I have been reading the book of Ecclesiastes and the book of Job at the same time... talk about making you go insane. These guys are really not that different from us when it comes right down to it, they both have an opinion about life. The tough thing is that you have to get to the end of both books to make any sense of what is really important. I think the preacher got it right for all of us at the end of his discorse in the book of Ecclesiastes. It also in essence is the summary of the book of Job. "...the end of the matter is : Fear God [revere and worship Him knowing that He is] and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man [the full, orginal purpose of his creation,the object of God's providence, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, the adjustment to all inharmonious circumstances and conditions under the sun] and the whole duty of man." Loving God and living out his commnadments is the key to success, the foundation to real happiness, and the adjustment to every inharmonious circumstance of life. It seems to me that if we get the first one right - Loving God, the second one follows suit. Jesus said if you love me you will do the things I ask of you. NOW that really makes it simple...JUST LOVE GOD!!!! I think I can do that. When life gets complicated and you have a ton of questions just keep it simple. LOVE GOD!
